Frosted Matt Thread is made using a colorfast polyester filament with a ceramic core that resists fading from bleaching and sunlight (96% polyester and 4% ceramic). Frosted Matt is slightly thinner than a standard 40-weight embroidery thread, so Madeira recommends a 65/9 or 75/11 needle for best results. Each Madeira Frosted Matt Thread spool contains 546 yards (500m) and has double-locking end caps.
