The vibrating presser foot transports or assists in the transport of material. It has a forward vibrating motion with the feeding process and backward with the return stroke. The foot incorporates a lifting motion with the backward stroke that allows the foot to clear the material and to drop straight down onto any uneven portion of the material without interference.
